The opal in this statement ring has a slight translucency allowing you to see the pattern of swirling pastel colours within the domed body of the gemstone.  As you turn the opal to the light, shades of pink and orange change to flashes of blue and green.  Cut en cabochon with a generous dome, it measures approximately 12 x 10mm and has a carat weight of 2.90ct.

The modern feel to this classic style is achieved by balancing the white and pastel tones of the opal with the dainty micro-grain set diamonds and the mirror finish of the 18ct white gold of the ring.

Designed with thought to wearability, the head of the ring, which measures 15 x 13mm is raised so that, another ring such as a wedding band can sit underneath, with the shanks flush.  This ring has a smooth court profile for comfort and the shank measures 2.5mm.  Currently a size N 1/2 the ring is suitable for resizing in our workshop with the laser welder.
