Monsters! Mazes! Murder hobos & minotaurs!

The Epic Levels full length Fantasy RPG rap album Armor Classy and Mini Dungeon.

This amazing artifact is both a compact disc of the music, and also a full-color compact dungeon adventure that’s based on the album’s songs and a visit to Wisconsin oddity attraction, The House on the Rock. The included system-agnostic mini-adventure features a 10 room dungeon crawl, and is suitable for characters of any level.

Adventure overview:

Jordana Lex is throwing one of her famous swingin’, groovy, lounge parties in her space-age bachelor pad mansion. This year’s theme is “armor classy,” where warriors are encouraged to indulge in fun-loving hedonism, modernity, art, music & fashion. Come to mingle, or test your might in her deadly mansion to claim her latest acquisition, the DMG Codex.

Beef up your armor and weapons before you fight your way through diabolical cocktail parties, skeletal mammoths, tengu assassins, a satyr sorcerer, unicorn-headed nymphs, trippin’ liches, a carousel gauntlet, minotaur playboys, a whale vs. kraken fight, and musical puzzles to solve.

Armor Classy the album:

Monsters! Mazes! Murder hobos & minotaurs! Epic Levels’ debut album Armor Classy meets at the inspired intersection of hip hop and Dungeons and Dragons. The lyrics of the two MCs, Dragon Warrior and Tiger Wizard, are punctuated with clever RPG wordplay for those in the know, yet they invite the casual listener to have fun exploring their astonishing sonic universe.

They breathe life into eclectic topics such as stealing the dank stank off of a dapper minotaur and a mad chef’s quest for the perfect leviathan calamari. Members of Epic Levels have shared bills with Washed Out, Arrested Development, Belle and Sebastian, Amanda Palmer, Hospitality, Pile & Single Mothers.

The Team:

Epic Levels is a multi-hyphenate that started as a comedy fantasy rap outfit that has begun an mini-empire with the Mad Dungeon podcast, game accessories, apparel, and book publishing all under the same banner. Obsessive tabletop gamers, the members of Epic Levels have spent their lives exploring the dark arts of nerdom.

Dragon Warrior (he/him), aka Steve Albertson, is a writer, musician and filmmaker. He’s been fronting bands for decades (SPs, illiterates, SEX BBQ, Dr. Killbot), always bringing his nerd empowerment lyrics front and center. He’s held many titles: a co-creator and writer of the Image Comics mini-series Ghost Spy, host of the podcast Total Movie Recall, has directed/produced shorts films, music videos and documentaries, and is an owner of Baby Robot Media and Baby Robot Records.

Tiger Wizard (he/him), aka Andrew Bellury, is an artist, graphic designer and printing professional.  He’s one of the founders of the Atlanta art gallery MINT, and a published hand lettering artist and calligrapher. Andrew loves drawing monsters. His design and print work for film and TV can be seen in Game Night, Baby Driver, Stranger Things, Loki, Watchmen, the Gifted and many more. He owns and operates Fallen Arrows, a T-Shirt printing company that caters to the TTRPG community. He’s the founder of the ATL Sorcery & Wizarding League, the creator of Wizard Cat Hats, Esoteric Tiger Retro Occult Clothing line, and Dragon Spittle: homestyle spicy tequila. Andrew is also a pretty nice guy that loves IPA’s, Heavy Metal magazines from the 90’s, his cat Yara, and his wonderful wife Becky.

Warlock Roc (they/them), aka DJ Robbie Darko, aka Rob Bellury (Lille, Little Horn, SEX BBQ) is Tiger Wizard’s sibling and Epic Levels’ engineer/producer and co-host of the Mad Dungeon podcast. As a bass player, they’re no stranger to being the backbone and guide to musical projects. After honing their skills with the mouse and keyboard by devastating competitive games like Counterstrike, World of Warcraft and League of Legends, they’ve translated that talent into creating beats and producing dope tracks.
